This leading exhibition company is seeking an experienced and strategic (French-speaking) Event Director to oversee a flagship event. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving event growth, optimizing attendee experiences, and maximizing profitability.

Position Overview

As the Event Director, you will have overall responsibility for the show’s performance, leading a team across all disciplines. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing strategies to ensure the ongoing growth and relevance of the event, while closely managing budgets and resources. You will be required to attend competitor events and keep up to date with the market sector to stay one step ahead.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive event growth and sustainability
  • Create a coherent brand strategy to meet visitor and exhibitor expectations
  • Align marketing strategy with the event’s commercial objectives
  • Design strategic floor plans to optimize visitor experience and exhibitor ROI
  • Identify and implement new revenue streams and brand extension opportunities
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity, taking proactive actions as needed
  • Stay attuned to market trends and develop the event accordingly

Requirements

  • Fluency in FRENCH
  • Background in exhibition sales
  • Proven experience in leading successful, large-scale events
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Robust financial management and budgeting expertise
  • Keen market research and analysis capabilities
